Karyna Alonso is a Cuban artist and curator, with over 23 personal exhibitions and more than 400 group shows to date. In her body of work, she has completed 20 murals and has been awarded First Prize in several art salons, as well as medals honoring her contribution to Cuban culture. Her work is in several private and public collections.
The Kendall Art Cultural Center (KACC), dedicated the past six years to the preservation and promotion of contemporary art and artists, and to the exchange of art and ideas throughout Miami and South Florida, as well as abroad. The Rodríguez collection is a blueprint of Cuban art and its diaspora. Within the context of the new MoCA-Americas the collection becomes an invaluable visual source for Diaspora identity.
