Francisco Bernal was born in Camaguey, Cuba. 4 June 1959. 1973-1976 Arts Elementary Level. Art School Camagüey province. 1976-1980 Intermediate level of Art and Engraving National School of Art in Havana. 1980-1985 Bachelor of Fine Arts – Engraving and Impressed pictures. Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana. Painter, engraver, screen printer, illustrator, designer. Many of his works are in the collections of the Cuban Cultural Fund, National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba, Poplar Museum of Mexico, Ecuador Guayasamin Foundation, Museum of Modern Art in Czechoslovakia, as well as collections in Mexico, Brazil , Spain, Netherlands, United States, Poland, France, Italy, Japan, etc.
The Kendall Art Cultural Center (KACC), dedicated the past six years to the preservation and promotion of contemporary art and artists, and to the exchange of art and ideas throughout Miami and South Florida, as well as abroad. The Rodríguez collection is a blueprint of Cuban art and its diaspora. Within the context of the new MoCA-Americas the collection becomes an invaluable visual source for Diaspora identity.
