The MOCAAméricas Museum had the honor of recently welcoming the visit of Spanish diplomat Fidel Sendagorta Gómez del Campillo, a distinguished figure in the foreign service and former ambassador of Spain to several countries, who was accompanied by his wife, Lidia Figueroa. Their presence at the museum was a warm and meaningful encounter that underscores the historical and cultural ties linking Spain, Cuba, and the artistic community of Miami.
Fidel Sendagorta’s visit took place at a particularly significant moment for our institution, on the eve of MOCAAméricas’ upcoming exhibition in Spain. This meeting reaffirms the spirit of dialogue and cultural collaboration that the museum actively fosters between both territories, strengthening bridges between contemporary Cuban art in the diaspora and the Spanish cultural sphere.
We are deeply grateful for his interest, generosity, and closeness, and we celebrate this opportunity for dialogue, which contributes to expanding the presence and visibility of Cuban art on the international stage.
