As its title suggests, this publication provides an in-depth look at the work of acclaimed Cuban multidisciplinary artist Ivonne Ferrer over the past decade. Organized chronologically, it compiles a substantial collection of essays and reviews that discuss the core series that define nearly the entirety of her body of work. From the collages in Sometimes It’s Forever and Portraits of Women, which introduced fabric pieces and sculptures in ceramics and bronze, to her most recent series, Equilibrium and Anthropometry, where she masterfully integrates various techniques, materials, and mediums.
With over 300 pages, Ivonne Ferrer, Recent Works, 2014–2024 generously showcases a broad selection of her original pieces. The layout and graphic design were carefully conceived to highlight with striking clarity the evolution of Ferrer’s artistic vision, demonstrating how her varied formal explorations have culminated in works of profound conceptual significance and bold formal innovation.
The most important or notable pieces are presented from multiple angles to allow for a full appreciation of their projected three-dimensionality. This thoughtful visual journey is both captivating and varied, engaging the reader in an editorial experience that is truly a feast for the eyes. The theoretical insights, strategically placed, subtly amplify the visual narrative, underscoring the sustained development of a poetic vision now brought together in a single volume for the first time.
The design and graphic editing were masterfully executed by r10estudio, while financing, production, and all marketing and sales efforts have been managed by The Rodriguez Collection.
The book is currently available on Amazon, and the publisher is already considering an expanded second edition, as new works created over recent months have met with significant success at cultural events across South Florida.
