A work by artist Rosario Verdecia has been acquired by the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas, following a pleasant meeting that took place this afternoon, Saturday, October 10, 2026, between the Cuban born creator and Leonardo Rodríguez and Ivonne Ferrer, directors of the Florida art museum.

It is a small format work dedicated to Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre, in which symmetry, circular forms and metallic tones articulate a visual reflection on faith and Cuban identity.
Rosario Torres Verdecia is a visual artist linked to the cultural context of Miami, who also runs the shop and gallery Frame on Wheels. Her work explores the relationships between geometry, spirituality, identity and cultural memory. Her recent production stands out for its reinterpretation of Cuban religious iconography through geometric and abstract compositions, in which she combines graphite, acrylic and metallic leaf, such as gold, silver and copper. These materials create contrasts of texture and luminosity that transform traditional references into images of contemporary sensibility.
