With the upcoming exhibitions Converging Plateaus and Stubborn opening on Friday, June 14, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas, formerly known as the Kendall Art Center, proudly announces a remarkable milestone: reaching 100 exhibitions since its founding in 2016! This achievement is a testament to the museum's unwavering commitment to its community and dedication to fostering a vibrant cultural landscape.
Since its inception, the Kendall Art Center, founded and sustained by entrepreneur and collector Leonardo Rodriguez and home to the Rodriguez Collection, has been dedicated to showcasing diverse and dynamic works of contemporary art, primarily Cuban. It has become a platform for both emerging and established artists from all the Americas. Over the past seven years, it has established itself as a cornerstone of the South Florida art scene, offering a rich variety of exhibitions that have captivated and inspired its audience.
This significant milestone underscores the museum's role in enriching the cultural fabric of the community. Through its exhibitions, educational programs, and community engagement initiatives, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas continues to promote artistic expression and cultural dialogue.
As we celebrate this achievement, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the artists, patrons, and visitors who have supported and contributed to our journey. We look forward to continuing our mission of bringing exceptional contemporary art to the public and creating a space where creativity and innovation can thrive.
Here's to many more years of artistic excellence and community service!
