The group exhibition "Colección MoCAA en Yucatán," organized jointly by the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas, Florida, and the School of Architecture, Habitat, Art and Design of UADY, has been visited by a broad and diverse public at the Museo de la Ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán, during the months of September and October 2026.

Among the 67 works selected for the exhibition, the installation piece by artist Ivonne Ferrer is one of those that has drawn the greatest interest among visitors to the gallery, especially among younger viewers. A clear example of this interaction took place recently during a guided tour for UADY art students, organized jointly by the curator and MoCAA representative in Mexico, David Mateo, and the artist and professor of the School of Architecture, Habitat, Art and Design, Javier Barrera.

This installation work by Ivonne Ferrer is titled "Umbral del silencio" and was made using the tapestry technique, employing materials such as jute, ceramics, thread, wood and rope. In this piece, as in others by the artist, Sacred Geometry is a concept employed from a cognitive and allegorical perspective, but also as a guideline for the relational and organizational work involved in the design of the work.
